Madagascan Delegation Completes 6-Day Study Tour of Fintechs and MFIs in Ghana
Eight chief executives from APIMF, the professional association of microfinance institutions in Madagascar, spent six days visiting institutions in Ghana as guests of the Ghana Fintech and Payments Association. They came to understudy Ghana's microfinance and fintech industry for Madagascar's National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
Over six days, a delegation of eight chief executives from Madagascar visited the Bank of Ghana, the Ghana Microfinance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN), Digital Credit Management Limited, Pan-African Savings and Loans, Letshego Ghana, Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans, Logiciel Limited, Fido and Advans Ghana Savings and Loans.
The visitors came from the Association Professionnelle Des Institutions De Microfinance (APIMF), the professional association of microfinance institutions in Madagascar, and were in the country as guests of the Ghana Fintech and Payments Association, whose president is Martin Kwame Awagah. The delegation included Fanjaharivola Rakotomaharo, Secretaire-General of APIMF, and Nivoarizay Razafinorakoto, Head of the Centre for Financial Inclusion at Madagascar's Ministry of Finance.
They came to understudy the practices of Ghana's microfinance and fintech industry and the country's approach to digital financial services transformation. They intend to apply what they learned to Madagascar's National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
